And there are also videos - a lot of them - showing police allowing people into the capitol that day, and moving barricades for them to go through. Just like everything else, the truth will prevail eventually.

SPQ, respectfully, the folks pictured above were of a different "tenor" than those of 6 January. The chanting of the the 6 Jan mob certainly escalated USCP awareness and concerns. Assume you know the Cap floor plan and where Ms Babbitt et al were heading and who Lt Byrd was protecting. The "door" defined the "line". She made a poor choice, and sadly, crossed it.

It's as simple and "sad" as that.

We'll just, respectfully, agree to disagree...it's not about the other dumbschit "attendees" like organic food horn boy, edward scissor hands, nor the "hang x y or z" chants. The officer, sworn to protect legislators from all harm, had orders to hold that line. "Having a conversation” with an intruder, who crossed THE line, sporting a significantly sized back pack (just a little RDX goes a long way) just wasn't an option.

All in all a super effed up day.

Nope. Use of a firearm is the LAST option in use of force in a case like this. He never attempted to keep her out any other way according to the tape I saw. No hands on. No OC spray. No baton. My grandmother could have pushed her back through that opening. You better believe if she had been a BLM rioter, a trial would be conducted.
