After you and I parted, the wife and I did indeed plop our butts in the sand, (see my sandy toes below), while our son and a couple buddies fished for shark via kayak. (They were unsucessful, too much NE on it).

Then I went back and grilled a mess o' chicken to go with the 4-family neighborhood Pot Luck Dinner that included a bushel of crabs, fried shark fillets, (previously caught/frozen), 2 burlaps of clams, 3# of shrimp, multiple sides, all topped off with 2(!) B-day cakes, (One for my wife, the other for our neighbor).

Post dinner, we went back to the beach to enjoy the coolest NE breezy night of July so far.


Sunday dawned rainy and windy, so we cleaned and shopped and were otherwise domestic all day, as I'm flying out to Kentucky on business on the morrow.
