Lots O luck to Target on staffing 100,000 sf. Of course money talks so if they offer good wages & benefits Target should have no problem. Our Walmart seems to do do okay keeping enough workers on the floor.

I have two friends that were in executive positions at Target and they told me HR is horrendous! Very witchery and took wayyyy too much time to contact prospective hires. They left because of it and said that it is nationwide. Their business model according to them, was very not equity friendly and they had had enough. Good luck down here. And I was looking forward to the really nice Cat and Jack clothing for babies and toddlers for my grands.

The new one by me has started bringing the wife and baby with him setting up on the median at the entrance.

Read a story the other day, I think it was in Kentucky but can't be certain. Anyway a Teacher walked away from the profession and took a job at WalMart because he could make more money.

Target will have to pay above market. In fact here in Lewes and Rehoboth Retail pays more than people who are working admin roles in Medical Offices.

I don't shop there much, but from what I've seen their groceries are of fine quality and less expensive than many major grocery chains. Kind of like Costco, but with smaller sized items. (You don't have to buy for a family of 15.)

I’ve only been to the grocery store of two Targets so this may not be completely accurate, but boxed and canned good were all fine and well stocked. Fresh meats and veggies were not all that impressive although they carry most of what the average person would use regularly. Their meat appears to come pre-packed offsite. Their beer selection sucked. I’ve used them for a few items if I was already in the store, but would never go to them specifically for groceries. They do not compare to Harris Teeter or Publix or even Food Lion.

We get quite a few of our basic groceries (bananas, sandwich bread, yogurt, canned goods, applesauce pouches, baking mixes/frosting, pre-packaged meats like deli meat and hot dogs, etc.) from Target on a regular basis. With store pick-up/drive-up service, I can shop from my phone and have them brought out to my car. With two small children, that type of service is very valuable to me. I find their prices to be usually only a few cents (less than a dime) more than Walmart. Worth it to me!

I believe that depends on the Target and it's location. Granted, I've not been in any that would rival Walmart for groceries but some I've been in had a good selection at competitive pricing. Couple that to the 5% off Red Card and I find myself getting some items at Target.

My daughter likes to shop at a Chicago Target for the Cat and Jack brand of baby and children's clothing and would occasionally pick up groceries while there. Her store has a nice selection of keto friendly foods and organic selections she liked. Grandpa D is right....it depends on the location as to the volume and selection. It was looted heavily in the summer of 2020 and I think is still shuttered. The store was wiped out of all merchandise. Merry Christmas in July!

Not that I shop at their grocery store but the few times I've been thru it its maybe 10-15% of the entire store
