I give up what is butter roast
It's a crockpot recipe that prompted threads that went on forever here a couple of years ago. Involves a chuck roast, a stick of butter, a packet of dry Hidden Valley dressing mix and one of au jus gravy mix. Also known as Mississippi Pot Roast.
...and pepperoncinis which makes the recipe IMO. I love the subtle spice they provide.
We like it with chicken thighs too, chicken broth and of course, got to have the pickled pepperoncinis or cherry peppers or even jalapenos depending on the crowd. Just don't overcook it. Pork picnic shoulder is also good.
