Looking for a hotel with a suite and ocean view between Southern Shores and South Nags Head. Ocean view, balcony, frig, microwave, elevator. If possible a separate bedroom. Mid December. We have looked at several online. Wondering if anyone has a recommendation?

I always thought the Surfside in Nags Head has done a nice job of providing a comfortable place to stay. Many options.Continental Breakfast and Happy Hours. Indoor pool. Sounds very nice.

The best western fits the bill. Ocean front, with a living room and separate bedroom. Little kitchenette in between. We stayed there a few years ago and liked it. It seems to get bad reviews but as of now we are planning on staying there next fall.

I know the sea ranch also has condo rooms as part of the hotel. Never stayed in the condo but the hotel room was nice. The advantage that had over the best western is it was right on the ocean whereas BW had a dune. Don’t think they offered breakfast though and BW does.

Hilton Garden Inn - Beach road just as you cross the causeway (on the way to Duck(. Beautiful hotel and beautiful views. Its not inexpensive but great service!

Our personal favorites are Shutters and Surfside! Shutters to us can't be beat for all it offers and the beds are soooo comfortable, but Surfside has the loft bedrooms that are pretty cool as well. You can't go wrong with either one!

All good references. There's also the Towne Place suites by Marriott in KDH, just north of the NH Town line. Stayed there multiple times. Bonus is that you can walk to Mama Kwan's, Noosa Beach Grill, Mahi Mahi's, Swells a Brewing and Kill Devil Grill (assuming they are open during your stay).

Try the John Yancy penthouse suite. Double balcony, kitchen, separate living and bedroom.

We like the Beach Club on the beach road. Nice liltle condo with a great kitchen and separate bedroom.
