Saw on a FB post that Sea Kove in Kitty Hawk is being demolished soon. Anyone know what is happening with the land?

It was recently sold for $3.5 mil so I assume some big homes soon - sadly. I don't see Saga anywhere around it.

Searching the records and LLC's in NC I see the name of a local guy that has a real estate license and that rebuilds and updates homes. The last name is common one - like Smith. My guess is the holes in the roofs are attempts to find asbestos to see if they must deal with that. I bet they do.

Town code says it is a BC-1 zoned lot and commercial can go there and big homes can go there. The min lot size is 17,500 so only 4 home lots would fit making for an expensive home there.
If they divide it into 4 lots that alone would be $840k for just the lots which is a lot. Then add in tear down, redevelopment, surveys to make the 4 lots, and whatever else before they start to build.

I am guessing something commercial is coming.

Someone said they saw firemen on the roof of a building. I wonder if they are practicing roof entry. Maybe they will burn them down next.
