We have been lucky and have seen them hatching the last two nights in Kitty Hawk. Just dark shapes, but the volunteers have night cameras to show you as they go by

The NEST mother or volunteers know what they are doing. Just watch and learn. The excavation is what is fun to watch, we almost always get a few that are left out of the boil and are OK, they just need some help. I had 10-12 in a box one day waiting for darkness.
