Anyone know a good roofer in southern shores area?

Xtreme Roofing has been my go to roofer.

I did the fortified roof grant offered by NC. You get $6k to offset the cost of the strengthened roof. Out of all the bids I went with Roof Monkeys. They did a great job and the grant cut the price in half.

Now, the roof grant has been increased to 8K. We're on the grant list. Just got the info this past week of the increase.

We had a fortified roof installed on our house last year by Gallop Roofing. Gallop did a good job and the fortified program has inspectors that make sure the install follows the fortified program specifications. Our roof was original almost 30 years old and it only suffered less than 10 shingle loses over 30 years so maybe the fortified roof install was overkill. The good news is we received a check for $6,000. The bad news is they 1099 you on the $6,000 so you get to pay income taxes on the $6,000.

I had a fortified roof installed by Gallop. They were very responsive and professional.
I would use them again.

Sent you a PM. He's a private family owned business and one of the most honest and reasonable men I know. Super meticulous. You can't drive him like a slave because he does things right and at his pace but I've NEVER heard anyone say a single negative thing about his work. He did my new roof on our home further South with structured Owens Corning and new gutters and everything is square and perfect at a reasonable price. I have referred him several times for Roof, siding and deck work, including screened in porches and everyone raves about him.

Same here - I got the letter last week. My roof is 14 years old and has never had a problem. What is required to get the $8k?

My buddy I mentioned above IS enrolled in the program and is licensed and insured.

Received this letter last week in regards to the program, first sentence "The N.C. Insurance Underwriting Association (NCIUA), one of the first organizations in the nation to offer grants to help eligible policyholders in beach communities better protect their homes against the threat of hurricanes, is pleased to announce the 2023 Strengthen Your Roof program."
