Just in time for the storms....

Got up early this morning and busted ass getting my roof leak repaired. Started at 6Am, done by 11am. I been putting it off and putting it off. I could hear the Lord calling me a lazy , no good , loafer this morning so I climbed up and opened up the can of worms I've been dreading and replaced a couple rafters , cut out the bad plywood and replaced it , dropped some synthetic paper, married up the new shingles with the oldies but goodies and I'm ready for bad weather!
If you ever buy a home out here be ready for some regular maintenance! The OBX'll getcha good when you aint lookin!

...AND DONE!!! ...all by 11:04 this morning. Color aint perfect but it;s close enough for horseshoes. This roof is alot flatter than the rest so you can't see it from the ground anyways...

P.S. If your are building here make sure your roof has a good steep pitch, especially as you travel North towards the Wash Woods. These live Oaks RAIN leaves all year long and they will end up on your roof.

Next stop. Gutter guards to prevent the oaks raining down and clogging it all.

It’s a look that can sometimes come in handy.
My hubby can look that way .
I think my hubby is very handsome and I know I’m always safe with him

Yeah, I usually put my hair in curlers, throw on a dinner jacket, an ascot ,shave and spruce up with some Brut by Fabroge' before I start tearing shingles off a roof...I guess I just wasn't feel'in myself this morning. ...can you believe I forgot my diamond studded pinky ring too. ...Just a mess.

Well the Skunk Ape was back on the damn roof again this morning. I found another bad spot where some imbecile ran a drain pipe back onto the roof and tied it fast to the flashing allowing all kinds of debris to collect behind it. So I just did another spot as big as the last one at the top of the roof. I was too pissed to take a bunch of pics but here's the end result. NOW it's REALLY done. Only thing left is the joy of bagging up a couple hundred lbs of rotting, tar covered, nail infested debris and dragging it to the transfer station! yay,,, Serious smiley
