I've accessed the Roanoke sound by carting my kayak out the road that starts on the right side of the loop at the Bodie Island light house parking area.
Is there an easier way to get to this part of the sound without the walk? Any public docks or landings close by or on the other side of the sound within paddling distance?
I'm checking for a friend who is heading down in a couple of weeks.
