I took a sip of a beer this afternoon...a glass bottle, and there was a yellow jacket in it. I should have looked. I felt it when I took a sip and spit it out on my hand and it stung my hand!!!! It's a bad sting on my hand and took a benadryl and put a baking soda paste on my hand. Hubby said that I should have spit it out on the floor in our under house dock. It stung the 3rd finger and I showed him!!!!!

Just watch out! A lot of them come around this time of the year so watch your drink! I would have wigged out if my mouth was stung!!!

Ouch, sorry about that, I know they hurt! And they are not shy this time of year either. I have had to eliminate two underground nests this summer. One was the size of a basketball and the 'roof' caved in while I was filling it with wasp foam.

For sure! My husband is allergic and had a bad reaction years ago! Our friend who is a PA came to our home and gave him a shot for his labored breathing. I just freak out and the last time I was stung was when I was 30 and six months pregnant with baby girl. I was attacked by yellow jackets and got eight stings. I hate bees! Our neighbor died when stung once on the face. I am a baby, and always freak!

A couple of summers ago I was attacked by bald faced wasps. They literally chased me from our front yard to our back door. They banged into the back door windows after I got in.
I got stung 5 times.
Just minding my own business, getting the mail out of our box across the road when I walked past their nest in our rhododendron bushes

Hahaha! For sure, EZ! Spoke to our next door neighbor who is a physician, and he said to put lime juice in our beverages to ward off bees! I usually squeeze lime into my Corona, but didn't today. I'll have to test that!

A wasp got me on the inside of my cheek. Face swelled up like a baseball. For about two years I had PTSD and I drank my beer filtered through my teeth while outside. My wife said I looked like I was drinking from a baby bottle. I can assure you that drinking from a baby bottle is more pleasant than having a baseball growing out the side of your head.

If you use a can, don't pull it all the way open. Just crack it open enough to sip from but not enough to let a bee in.
