in my hometown, where i still live & work. Lefty attended the same high school as i did (different generations) adjacent to the
lake where his statue now stands. a rainy day but very well attended. many friends & family in attendance. very poignant event.

i had the privilege of meeting him twice as a boy. i cannot express what an impression he made on me & thousands of others.

a truly gifted, humble & wonderful human being.

i caught my 1st fish on that lake in the 60's & often wondered if he ever casted there. today i got my answer. Godspeed Lefty!

Very cool story.
Also he is "lucky" to have survived his Anthrax exposure at Ft Dieterich. That made for some interesting reading.
