This burger joint was located in the Nag’s Area in the early 60’s. They served big, flat burgers. Don’t know what happened to that place.

I have tried numerous times unsuccessfully to post a color picture that I have of the place.

That’s a Burger was one of the best hamburgers I have ever eaten. It sat on the land that is now Jockey’s Ridge State Park. It was across the street (bypass) from the Nags Head Casino. Their busiest time was after the Casino closed on a Saturday night during summer. People would stagger across the bypass and stand in a long line to eat one of them great tasting burgers. They would stay open until the crowd was served, often as late as 3AM.

EZ, make sure the pic isn't too large. Resize it to 860x860 or less and it should post just fine.

Thanks Greg. The size of the image was 300 X 200. I tried everything and then just took a screenshot of the photo and it posted fine.

I have had problems posting photos before. Often times when I post photos the first one will post OK, and then I have problems with the second one.

It was located right about where the “N” in Nags Head is.

Jockey’s Ridge was privately owned until the mid 70s.

Thanks, guys, for responding. I hadn’t been lucky enough to have visited this area until the early 80’s. My wife started taking family vacations here around 1960, or so. I can’t begin to tell you how many times she’s mentioned going to Thatsa Burger! I am envious of those who enjoyed it.
