Important to cull the deer population!
Our son just had a deer wreck his pickup on his way home from work.
We are infested with them on our road.
Not 15 minutes ago a huge deer with a large rack just missed me as I was coming down our road!!!

Glad you are okay! That was certainly too close for comfort for you. That is really scary! Sorry about your son and having to handle that situation with his truck. An entire other level of defensive driving this time of year with the deer roaming.

Thanks for posting! That is a great article about a great captain I worked with for 20 years. One of the most dedicated captains I have met for sure. I was working the Big Rock tournament when he won, and we were all celebrating his win like it was our own.

It’s the rut. Head on a swivel time for drivers in areas with a heavy deer population. I’ll go all year without seeing a buck along the highway until the rut and then they are everywhere. I get some smaller bucks in the back yard year round, but nothing crazy big.
