I've only found two shark's teeth here. Very difficult to find.

On Topsail they're pretty common. I'm assuming the "pits" she's referring to are the piles of crushed shells that tend to get aggregated after tides... and that's where they're found. 99.9% of them are very small (1/4") and they're jet black.

My sister has a large jar of them from Cherry Grove, SC and I have found a few of the tiny black ones from Holden and Ocean Isle beaches.
