Believe me, I love Colo's pepperoni buns and Muriale's sketti, but when I think of WV soul food, I think of the great Southern food over in the Eastern Panhandle ... where I grew up! Fried chicken, sweet potato casserole, crab cakes, roastin' ears, ham, tomatoes and cukes, biscuits, coconut layer cake, and of course, gallons of ice cold sweet tea.
Now, to me, THAT is soul food.
