Fort Jefferson, Dry Tortugas

Both photos are beautiful - lots of depth in Ft. Jefferson and great lighting with the hibiscus picture.

I remeber when you originally posted those Fort Jefferson pictures. Several of the were just outstanding...including the one you posted today. Great Color and composition. The lighting on the island that day really lent itself well to the subject matter.

Nice shot! The crack in the wall on the left and the archway on the right serve well to break up what could have been an overly symmetrical photo. Have you tried it in B&W?

I don't know how to switch it to b/w. If you look at the floor, the bumps are deposits from water seeping through the bricks.

I don't pretend that I'm a good photographer. Some subject matter just lends itself to be photographed, and with my camera, it's hard to mess it up.
