Ok here's the deal...last February I went on Weight Watchers, so far I've lost 62lbs; but I would love to lose about 30 more. (Let's face it I was a large lady), I've gone from a size womans 22 to a petite 12 or 14 but need some toning. But the problem is I have had two spinal fusion operations and both have broken apart and I'm in pain pretty much 24/7. I can't walk very far anymore, can't ride a bike and my job requires a lot of sitting behind a desk. Does anybody have any ideas that could help me? I'm looking for a little help and I'm so pleased with this new forum that I thought perhaps one of my OBX buddies could lend an idea or two. I'm open to any and all ideas. Confused smiley

Sorry to hear about your back. Can you swim and if so do you have access to an indoor pool? Swimming and swimming aerobics would produce no stress on your joints and give you cardio as well as muscle toning.

Congrats on the weight loss you've accomplished so far.

I can swim and we have a pool at home but I haven't gone out to the rec center (only because duh, I didn't even think about it) see I knew someone would help me. Of course our home pool is only open from late May until very early September, we are in the Blue Ridge mountains and swimming weather is about 2 1/2 months for us. I will look into that today. Thank you so much.

I agree, the water excersizes are a great no stress on the body to tone up.. I m looking forward to getting back into the pool very soon.. If you do it please get yourself a pair of water sneekers. I cant do without them mine are by Rika (sp?)
