I know it's too early to tell right now but when anyone hears how Hatteras Island (esp. Frisco) has fared, please let us know. Appreciate all the great information and photos, even though they are hard to look at. It's so heartbreaking to watch such a wonderful, natural place getting hit like this. But I guess the key word is "natural." What makes it so appealing is the same reason it is getting hurt right now. You all stay safe. That is the important thing.

From what I heard one CNN 12 is closed between Frisco and Oregon Inlet because of high water, which everyone expected. Lots of overwash all over. The worst is coming shortly.
