Pretty neat! Alot has changed since then. Where did you find the newsreels?

Hi Kathy W. A friend of mine gave it to me. Her mother was heavily involved in The Lost Colony and the videographer had personally given her a copy of his reel way back when. the newsreels would have been filmed by someone covering the news back then. My guess it was showed in theatres with a voice over telling the news. The videographer of the last bit of film showing the Pioneer Theatre in Manteo was a member of the Creef family (Pioneer Theater owners) but I cannot recall his first name now. Glad you liked it and yes a lot has changed.

Thanks Frank. That is Artie Shaw and his orchestra playing "Begin the Beguine". It was a big hit in 1938.
