Fishing license

Last year when we were down in April, I tried to get a fishing license at several bait shops and nobody was set up to issue them yet. I ended up having to wait till Mon. and call the 800 number. Can you get them easily at the bait shops now, or should I go ahead and get mine before I come down?

I ended up calling to toll free number. I needed one for my daughter as well as myself and it wouldn't let me change the quantity. They should arrive in 7 to 10 days. Thanks for your help :fish:

A lot of the bait shops on Hatteras Island sell them also.

I bought one in march at a bait shop in Frisco. Took about 5 minutes.

As others have said, the local tackle shops should be able to sell them. Personally, I go to ncwildlife.org and purchase one on-line each year. It is pretty easy and I print copy until I get the real one in the mail in a few days.

I prefer to buy online for the simple reason you can print your license then make copies. I keep a copy in my tackle box, my tuck and the house just in case I loose one.
