Dinners are a problem at my house, cause my kids are picky eaters. I usually compromise by fixing something that they will eat and then some healthy choices for myself. last night it was chicken on the grill and a salad (for me) and mac &cheese (for them).

Dieting takes a lot of planning and looking through cook books, I fall off the wagon often. On weekends I hate to plan for the rest of the week. Its just my husband and I but he like me, we don't plan. Has anyone tried the WI fittness?? Its pretty good

Shrimp!!! 2 oz of steamed with Old Bay is just 1 pt. And of course my old standby Edy's No Sugar Added Fruit Bars, 1 bar 0 pts!

I made bbq pulled pork for dinner today..my totally favorite meal...but I was good and had my pork before I put the sauce on top of it. Also some carrot sticks. WE ran around all afternoon and then had to pick kids up a a b-day party..so there I had some popcorn (though it was oil popped) and somemore of that old stand-by..CARROT STICKS! lol Diet Pepsi and then off to bed for me. Nothing to eat or drink tomorrow until after weigh-in.

I try to eat lots and lots of vegetables. For breakfast, I use egg whites, low fat cheese and vegetables to make small fritatta thingys. I make them in cupcake tins, then pop them out and freeze. For lunch, I love salads, and use any leftover vegetables from dinner the night before. Dinner is more vegetables, a meat and sometimes a starch, though it is getting to the time of year when I have great choice of local grown vegetables. For snacks. i love grapes, granny smith apples, strawberries. Try the non fat greek style yoogurt- they carry the name brand (Fage) at most supermarkets, but I like to go to Trader Joes and get their brand- much cheaper. Really thick and creamy- another idea for breakfast- just toss in some fruit.
