This looks like a new program they are promoting, has anyone tried it or been there since they started? I've got about 10 lbs to get rid of from my "Lifetime" with them in July 05.

We have been going for 3 weeks now. A little confusing as it combines core with flex. Weigh in is tonight and I know I gained this week being at Grandmas house. The most difference is you are supposed to rate how you feel after eating and track filling foods. Also you can bank activity points for the week instead of having to use them the same day. Good luck!!

The new WW Momentum Plan is a mix of the Flex & Core plans. Every few years WW seems to bring out a new or re-hashed program giving it a new name. I have done WW off and on since 1978. It is still basically the same, the key is to eat healthy foods, portion control, drinking your water, exercise and being accountable for what you eat. Sensible eating and long-term healthy habits is what I have learned from WW over the years and that hasn't changed. The kitch that WW's are promoting a lifestyle, not a diet is really true. I deny myself nothing that I want, but it is teaching me to make healthy choices.

My problem is not what or how much I eat at least the majority of days. I do occasionally have a treat (happy meal or a piece of lemon meringue pie). My issue is lack of cardio exercise and with it being so cold outside and hate it when it's below 55*, I have no interest in walking outside. The treadmill is monotonous and boring. I don't think LWE is for me as it doesn't provide enough cardio for me. I think it's designed for people who need to lose quite a bit of weight and aren't able to move around as well. I have found a few videos on Netflix that I can watch instantly and they look pretty good. I'll try that when we get back home this weekend and see how I like those. My goal is to eat one salad a day with lots of veggies (no croutons) or a non white bread veggie sub. I'm amazed at the number of restaurants that don't offer fat free salad dressings or the servers that have no idea. I have a favorite FF Rasp. Ving. that I try and pack in a tupperware container, if I remember when we leave. I keep one in the fridge at work so all I have to do is pack my salad in the morning and I'm good to go at lunch. Harris Teeter had the best Fuji apples this week and I really enjoyed them for my mid morning or afternoon snack.

Check to see if your local Holiday Inn lets you join their gym. We joined ours and have the use of the gym, indoor pool hot tub and the showers. I got some pool excersize equipment for Christmas and it is a great workout for me (who needs to lose major lbs!) and is easy on my arthritic legs and hips! The nicest thing is the pool is never crowded (unlike a local Y) and they also have water acrobics for an additional fee. I am going to watch a class this week and see if I can handle it before I pay.

That's a great idea! How much do they charge you monthly?

I will check tonight. Grandma gives it to us as a gift so I am not really sure. I have gone everynight since last week and am looking forward to weighing in tonight!! I really have to say, I have more energy than I have had in a long time. I am doing 15 minutes on the bike followed by 30 minutes swimming. I am starting slow so I dont overdue it too soon and than dread workouts. I have arthritis in my knees and hip so as soon as I feel pain on the bike, I stop. The pool is wonderful on the joints!

I was followingthe CORE paln on WW, and even though in the new Momentum plan week 6 splits back into two programs and one is CORE by a new name, I am actually counting my points, just using the CORE/Filling Foods, which isn't a problem, because with the healthier foods, at the end of the night, I usually still have 2-4 points that I haven't used of my rg. points, and then there are my AP's and WP's still untouched. I would LOVE to have it 55 degrees to walk..this week it's going to be about zero, so I'll pass on waling outside...but until now I have been still going out everyday..sometimes a few times a day. Yesterday I walked and then went sledriding with my kids..that was fun..and good for me!

We go to our meeting tomorrow night and get week 6. I am hoping to hit my 15lb mark! We have been at the gym almost everynight and I am up to 25 minutes of excersize followed by a 1/2 hour swim. Too bad the hottub was broken last night! Today I mopped my kitchen floor...in the past I have had to sit and mop it and was exhausted at the end. Today I stood the whole time and felt wonderful afterwards!!!! I have been having less numbness in my right leg as well!! I am a happy camper!!

I was doing CORE but tracking my points..so I laugh and say I was doing Monentum before there was a Momentum! The filling foods are what your body really needs and wants..once you (or at least me anyway) get rid of the processed foods, and detox your system, the cravings for junk goes away..making losing weight much much easier!
