Hey, did anyone get the Wii Fit for Christmas? We did!!!! Yep lucked into it a week before Christmas, just happened to walk into a Walmart when they were restocking!!!!! Just got on it Friday........WOW...it really kicks your butt......and it is a LOT of fun. Have the whole family doing it. Feeling a bit sore tho.........but I'm sure in the long run it will be wonderful for all of us. Watching what we eat and all that too....feeling really guilty...Jonathan our 11 yr old, tho he is 5'3".....weighs 153 lbs:smiley53:. so my motivation level is WAY up for him and us...........good thing is he really likes doing the excersizes....the Wii lists who scored #1 in each area, so there is that competition thing to motivate us:wink:

I got the Wii Fit for my wife for her birthday in October. She absolutely loves it. She echoes your sentiment that it does "kick your butt" and can, if used daily for an hour or so a day, give you a good workout and shape you up.

I got one New Years Day and I absolutely love it. I love that most of the exercises don't feel like excercise. It is so fun you feel like you are playing a game, especially the one were you are dressed as a penguin catching fish or hula hooping smiley

I've heard alot of good things about the Wii, but may I say please be careful when using them. I've heard of some very scarry injuries from people using them. Not sure of the circumstances (were they goofing around etc) but I'd hate to see any of you guys get hurt! Happy Wii=ing!!

I believe when they first came out the wireless remotes didnt have the wrist strap and people were letting go of the remote when playing. The new remotes have the wrist strap which you put on and tighten.

My brother was telling me they heard on the news about an injury called "WII knee" caused by using the WII fit ( I am sure people like me, who are really not in shape to use it just yet). My 7 year old neice and nephew think this is really funny that you could get "weenies" from the WII fit!!!

Grrrr, why do guys loose quicker than us! The Wii Fit has been great so far. Weghts going down along with BMI's. Unfortunately for me, Al & Jonathan's going quicker than mine! And I've really been watching what I'm eating...... Jonathan is doing the best of all. He's on it everyday and having a blast! Making excersize fun for him. That's the best thing of all for me! Plus have him all pumped up about being in really good shape for baseball in the spring.................this from a kid who thought walking was too much work a month ago....... smiley)))

I had to do some searching to find our Wii Fit. One Walmart had got ten in the day before and sold them all the same day. I had to drive over an hour to a different Walmart and I got their last one. Unforunately we didn't already have the Wii system so I had to purchase the Wii and the Wii Fit together :( The Wii Fit Sports Package System was $248 and the Wii Fit was $89. Extra remote controller was $39 or you could purchase a game with a controller for $49 so I did that and an extra nunchuck controller was $19. Bowling is great game that comes with the sport package. My arms are so sore after I play.

I'm not going to make any special trips for the wii fit as we wasted a lot of time last year looking for a wii system. We finally purchased one this past summer. I love the bowling game as well. It is so realistic!

We got a WII last Christmas, and I hope to pick up the WII Fit over the summer when they aren't in such high demand as they were over the holidays. I love the bowling, and my husbnad bought me a differant bowling game for Christmas, but I still like the reg. one better. Batting practice is fun for me too. Golf is kind of boring, IMO, but I don't normally golf (shhhh! my son cooks at Pinehurst..so don't tell him I think golf is boring!!) And I like tennis at times too. Boxing..man I could feel my elbow hurting almost right away..I don't know if I was over-extending it or what..but I don't even do that one anymore. I was afraid of really pulling or hurting something. And great for the 11 year old gettting into eating and being healthy! I have a hard time with my kids..because I can't let them eat what I do..they are both at the BOTTOM of the weight chart, and have each, at times, fallen off the bottom of the whole chart! My 10 year old daughter is about 65 pounds, and 12 year old son is MAYBE 73 pounds. They do't get that from me, that's for sure! I have dr's orders to load their veggies up with butter, and to make sure they eat a lot of bread! I worry that they burn off to omany calories. They told me tonight after sled riding that they would burn a lot less calories out there if I would drive my car to the bottom of the hill and ride them back up each time. (we actually sled ride on our dirt road) ..bwa ha ha ha..yeah, right..nice try! lol And my husband..he just turned 50 in the fall (actually the day we came home from OBX) and he just bought the same size jeans he wore when we got married...grrrrr! Life is so not fair!

Is the Wii Fit really worth it? I've gained about four pounds over the last couple of weeks, and I'm willing to give it a try, but it's a lot of money. We don't have a Wii, so I'd have to buy it all.

Gee you found your ring, got a Wii fit, you gotta buy a lottery ticket next:laugh: Hang in there with the balance test. It will go down....trust me...... Now if I could just get back on the darn thing. The week I was sick, I got sooo far behind in everything, I'm just getting caught up. Now my "trainer" will yell at me:smiley46::roflmao:

Kathy _ I'd say yes it is worth it! We all have lost between 5-8 lbs in a month. I can see the difference especially in Jonathan. Besides anything that gets up off the couch and moving is good in my book!

Well, I filed my taxes last week, so I should have my refund on Friday. We spent yesterday doing the big "house cleaning before tax season starts" (I have a second job preparing taxes, and when you work six days a week, everything tends to go to heck), so there's lots of room in the living room now. Maybe the Wii Fit should be my refund indulgence.

I finally bought one in March. I was in a Wal-Mart one Friday evening and noticed that they had five available. I have some sore (gastrocnemius) muscles from doing the ski jump this past weekend.
