Something I have learned

After months of dieting and exercising it all seems to work but at this point in the game I have learned that the more I exercise the more I can eat and still loose weight, although I stay away from the hi calorie and hi fat foods I don’t starve either . I have found foods that I enjoy and work for me an Occasional low calorie splurge don’t hurt . As long as you don’t go over board I use to be a glutton for cookies and ice cream . I some times eat a 100 calorie ice cream bar but I stop at that , The way to stay on a diet is to find things you enjoy eating and a exercise you too enjoy and keep it going.. I find after a two mile bike ride I want to try to go more, My reward here is I go 2 miles up hill and the trip home is great fun and very easy too, My favorite diet food is a large salad with grilled chicken on top with light ranch dressing . I guess I’m fortunate that I have always liked fresh raw vegetables . Find what pleases you and an exercise that isn’t too boring, and take it one step at a time …..good luck:fish:

fish I totally agree with everything you said! Although I like a ceasar salad w/ a small portion of steak. Every meal I order when I go out to dinner I split in half and box it to go. I still order dessert but only take a few bites. I don't feel like I am missing out on anything. As of last Thursday I reached my goal to lose 15lbs. I know it may not seem like much but it was a big deal for me:banana:. My whole family has really benifited from the WII FIT I got for Mother's Day. You do have to make exercise fun. Keep up the good work!

Congrats on your loss but you looked great when I met you at Cheryl's get together the end of last year especially for having a young son. I'm back on sparkpeople hoping that will help with my 15 lbs that seems to stick to me like glue - low calorie low fat diet and treadmill/pilates isn't helping so far and it's been a few weeks. I'll just keep plugging away. I started using the home gym we have in the basement this week so hopefully some weight lifting will help get things moving along.
