Thought I would repost this in it own thread so if any one wanted to take advantage of it they could see it

I just bought a gift certificate from restaurant.com for Pamlico Jacks. Got a $25 GC for 3.00 printed off and put it in my vacation folder. Use coupon code EAT to get the discount it expires tonight!

We will give it a try since we will be saving 22.00 on our check!

Heads up only one GC per table and you may only use one per month so don't buy mulitple GC's thinking you can use them all at the same time!

I never got a chance to do this yesterday. It's still a good deal at $10 but do you know if there is another promo code that will work?

I did not know that site existed...is it normal that you could buy a coupon of that size for $3, or was that a last minute deal scenario, etc.? Thanks in advance.

It depends on the deal but you can alway buy them much cheaper than obviously full price. Just watch the small writing. Usually you can't use more than one, have a minimum amount you have to spend to be able to use it, certain times of the day, alcohol does count toward your minimum, etc. If you meet the criteria, you can save a bundle. I just hope somebody knows if there is a new promo code out there. I still have a week before I will be there so I have have my fingers crossed.

WOW, I just visited that site - restaurants.com - and it just amazes me how anyone finds anything on a site like that. I guess I don't have the patients to sit there for what must be hours searching to save $20. It's like You Tube, I love when someone sends me a link to a funny video, but how do they ever find them in that huge pool of links????? More power to those of you who can do it.

Even if I had to click though several links I would to save $$
But Tim it is actually very simple...
Once you are on the Restaurant.com site you choose your state then the vicinity, then the city and it comes up with the restaurants. You can then refine the search by alphabetical order, or by cuisine etc. Takes less than a minute to get to that refined search.

As for the discount....

The Link I sent for Brads Deals you will see
Restaurant.com Online Coupons

More Restaurant.com Coupons 50% off
Note: discount taken at checkout (expires ???)
click to activate
Activate & open site
Click the BLUE Activate and open site

Have another cup of coffee LOL

I have several times they have been in business for about 10 years. They are a member in good standing with the BBB. I have never had a problem using one.

Another thing they just recently changed is the certificates never expire so if for some reason you can't use it now you can use it when you can.

I have used them for a few years, and have never had a problem. Just have to read the print on every coupon- most are not good on weekends. YOur first GC will cost $10 for a $25GC- then you will get emails with reduced prices- anywhere from 2 to 10 dollars for 25GC.
To Tim- Website is easy to use. Once you get to your state, you can input a zipcode, and narrow the search to within 5 miles of your preferred zip.

I use restaurant.com all the time. Everyday price for a $25 certificate is usually $10. Once you have made your first purchase you can recieve emails for special sale codes. Often these are 70-80% off. So a $25 certificate will be $2. I always check the zip on here before going on vacation. Bought and used one for a resturant in Cocoa Beach,Florida last trip. Paid $8 for a $100 certificate during an 80% off sale! Just a tip certificate quantities are restocked at the beginning of the month, higher % off sales are usually run towards the end of the month, so some may be sold out at that time. Definitely read the fine print as each restaurant may have diffferent restrictions. Usually you can click through and view the menu and make reservations too. It's a great way to try new places!

Never had a problem using coupon. A friend of mine had a coupon to a restaurant that stopped excepting them. He called the customer service number and they had him choose a coupon for another restaurant. They’ve been around for a long time.
