Does anyone have any info re: whether the roads/bridges onto the island are really open? We are supposed to come down on 10/1 and stay at the John Yancey MP9.5 and they told me yesterday that they are open/our room is ok but "the bridge to get there isn't open yet". Not sure whether they meant 158 or 64 (we usually come in on 158) or just that visitors weren't allowed in until today. I'd appreciate any info!

Bridges have always been open, no damage or problem. Perhaps he meant he did not know about the credentials required to get across at the time you talked to him. Bypass into Kill Devil Hills is fine now.
