Has anyone used the new 664 bypass around Virginia Beach? Every route seems to take us thru town rather than using the bypass and I was wondering why. Also does anyone know the status of the golf courses other than the Currituck Club around the outer banks? Are they open? Thank you.

New? It's been open for so long I can't remember when it opened. It is great. I have been using it since the very start. It is a highway so you are not like going through towns on a 2 or 4 lane road. With the 664 and the Chesapeake 168 bypass toll road our trip from Alexandria Va. is under 4 hours.
