Can some of you explain to those of us who don't live year-round near a beach how this dredging process works? Will the pipes to get the sand from Hatteras Inlet to "Isabel" Inlet be under water? Does the part that is collecting the sand move around? Will this process allow Hatteras Inlet to have the ferries running again or will more have to be done before that happens? Maybe some of the locals will post photos as the process takes place.

And since some of you are counting days - we just made our reservations for the same house in Hatteras Village for week of July 10 - too far away to be figuring days - but 9 months from tomorrow!
