Insanity

So, I'm starting INSANITY tomorrow! I got through 45 days of P90X before I quit because the hour or more a day just wasn't fitting in with my schedule. Insanity is a little less and seems to be more of what I'm looking for. Anyone have any experience or know anyone who does?

Ok...Day 1 KILLED ME and it was only the Fit Test! OMG I hope I make it through this! I literally had to pick myself up off the floor because I was laying in a puddle of my own drool lol!

Is it set up to be done daily like P90x?

Are you still alive?? Just do what you can do for now as every little bit helps. You don't need to lose weight so you should do basic strength training and yoga IMO. Come take a pole class with me. Yes I believe so Packer but it is more intense in less time then the P90X. I believe the original product was named "Kick Your Ass" but then it was changed to "Insanity" for marketing reasons.:smiley40:

Yep, set up like P90X...Did you finish it Packer? Seahawk- we were just talking about taking a pole class yesterday at work..but there's no place around here.Plus, I'd probably fall and break my neck lol.I'm not what you call flexible! Day 3 tonight after work...BRING IT! (ok, thats P90X, but it works!)

Yep, I finished it in the spring and am still doing 3 to 4 days a week of my "favorite" workouts along with eliptical training. I was planning to either start a whole new session (90 day plan) of P90x after the holidays or Insanity. I have read that Insanity is tough on your knees which would limit me a little -- I used to run marathons and the pounding over the years of training has caught up with me. What's your experience so far? Can you "modify, modify, modify" the Insanity like you can in P90? Glad to hear you're pushing play and ready to Bring It.

Did you have noticeable results? You can modify, but I'm not sure how much since I'm still pretty new at it.

I absolutely got noticible results -- much more muscle definition, "redistribution" and loss of weight, more stamina, more strength. I agree with you about the hour a day, every day thing--- it's hard to find the time sometimes. I think this next round (assuming I don't do Insanity) will be "P120x" -- I'll keep pushing play, just not every day.

Yea, the time is definitely the hardest part. I just have to keep forcing myself to hit play. It's tough after a long day at work sometimes. I'm going to do it though and hope for some great results!

Hows it going? Is it as tough as advertised?

Its....going. I had to take a few days off because I got sick =\...November probably wasn't the best time to start it. But, yes, it is very tough! I'm going to try to push through though.

Hi Lex... I'm curious as to how Insanity is going for you. I'm guessing that you're about half-way finished about now... What's your opinion on the program? Is it tough on the knees or are there options to modify?

Thanks for your insight...

haha true, I have hooked one. But I had to give up insanity due to a knee injury =(. Its VERY high impact on your knees and that's not good for me. Ive still be working out everyday but by walking on the treadmill, stretching, elliptical and strength training. Insanity WOULD work if it was done straight through...Its a great program (If you have healthy knees)!!
