I cut my carbs and finally the scales started moving again. I'm down a total of 6.5 pounds and have made it back to the 160's again. I weighed 168.5 this morning. I feel so much better when I weigh between 150-155. That's my goal weight. Slowly but surely I hope to get there.

My goal is 150 and I am 13 pounds away. The lightest I have been in the past 5 years is 158. I am doing well with WW and working out so I think it will start sliding off for me if I stick with it. I have 112 days until OBX and I am determined to keep it up..

Woohoo! I am just kind of stuck here. Need to mix up my workouts a little more and try something a little more challenging. Oh and I also need to stop eating garbage every Saturday. That is the one day I seem to just binge eat every week. I need to rein that in..

I took the "traveling tracker" at Weight Watchers this week. It belongs to the meeting as a group and is a food tracker. One member takes it each week and then turns it back in at the end. The person who takes it always has a loss that week. Accountability!! LOL! So I am hoping to see a decent loss this week. I have been good so far and if I can get through today (Saturday, my worst day for bad choices) I will be doing well. We are putting a new floor in our kitchen today so I should be pretty busy anyway. The thing that always gets me off plan is when we have friends over, go out with friends etc and order pizza and junk. Gotta live a little too though.

Hey Dollar, Be strong today! It's so worth the reward when you look at the scale on Monday.

Thanks for your support. I did well. We did go out to eat Saturday night, but I got a grilled chicken salad with light dressing and ate two onion rings from my husband's order. I was proud of myself. Clapping smiley

I went to the doctor back in December and tipped the scales at 220. The most I've ever weighed in my life. So I started backing off a bit and by the first of the year I was down to 217.5 and ready to "officially" declare a diet plan. I'm at 205.5 as of yesterday and my goal is to get down to 170. I've decided losing 50 lbs. ain't gonna be easy! lol Beat up

Great food choices sanddollars- way to get through your tough day!

BF-You're doing great. You're in it for the long haul, right? Look at it as a journey, not a destination. It didn't come on overnight and it isn't going to go off that way either. Did you know the average rate of loss is 2 lbs per week?

The main thing is to eat healthy. Junk the junk (processed foods, white refined grains and their by-products, soft drinks); load up on the whole grains, proteins, vegetables and eat a couple of servings of fruit per day. oh yeah, and get out there and move.

Happy Sunday!

Thanks. When I can start wearing all those pants I have put away I'll really be encouraged! I'm about average in the loss catergory then... I'm down 12 lbs in 6 weeks.

I've been up and down before. Never had a weight problem 'til my mid 40's, now I'm in my 50's and it's getting easier to gain and harder to lose. This is my "lifestyle" change diet where I lose the weight first, but then learn how to eat in order to stay within my weight. I don't want to do this again. It's not fun!

ugh - I'm stuck! What I thought was a pretty wimpy workout left me in pain for 3 days... reading curled up under a blanket on the couch. Of course, nibbling as well...

Try try again. SIGH.

It's all in how you look at it whackydog... a 160 pound person burns 67 calories an hour reading laying down. A 180 pound person burns 86 calories an hour reading while they're sitting... and if you chew calorie free gum while you're reading you'll burn another 11 calories an hour. I'm thinking about giving that "reading diet" a go myself. Big grin

Lexie asked me this evening "Mom are you still doing that thing?" I said "What thing?" and she pointed at me and I said "Dieting, low carbing". She said "Yes. How much have you lost". I said "Almost 10 pounds". She said "You need to lose twenty". Confused

Kids go to love them lol

Weighed in this morning and I'm down to 165.0 that makes 10 pounds so far. I would like to lose another 10-15 pounds. I've had to really cut my carbs down to get the scale moving.
I'm counting carbs now more than calories. I'm eating alot of tuna, eggs, cheese, meat, and an atkins advantage bars. The protein helps me feel full and I probably eat fewer calories also.

Down another 1.2 this week. Total of 13.8.. 11 pounds to get to my goal. Not too shabby smiley 3 pounds shy of my 10% goal at Weight Watchers and hoping to hit that in the next two weeks. That is my new mini goal anyway. Have a good week all! Blinking smiley

Sounds like everyone is doing pretty well! Give yourselves a hand. Thumbs up My husband cooked a fabulous dinner last night for Valentine's Day. So, today I got my butt off my desk chair and walked two miles at lunch. Dinner out tonight but it will be lean and mean. I am determined to make small sacrifices today to avoid looking at a + on the scale. I "offically" weigh in on Friday's at home - then at WW on Saturday. Good job everyone!

Weight Watchers for two weeks has been interesting - just writing down everything you eat is quite surprising - it does make you think a bit more.

Clapping smiley Congrats and continued success to all of the losers (who are really winners). I'm down 4.6 pounds in two weeks with about 15 more as my goal (184 pounds).

I'm stuck in a rut and need a kick. I was doing so well right after the new year. Now I'm not eating horribly but definitely over eating and the most excercise I'm doing is vacuuming. Ugh I wish I could just stick to it like I could ten years ago. I've struggled the last 5 years to care or really stick to something, and now more than ever I should. Sad smiley

It is hard. Hopefully you can find a way to get motivated and then find what clicks for you. I know that when I am doing things I enjoy (workouts) I am more apt to stick with them as opposed to walking on my treadmill. If I can get outside or find a buddy to walk or run with, it is easy.

It is a sombering experience to document all the food you consume in a day and look at your choices at the end of the day as well. I know when I was explaining it to my husband and we tried a day of it for him (figuring out his points etc) and what he typically eats, he was SHOCKED, LOL! I think he has so much more respect for what I am doing now and realizes why I turn down so many choices others are making when we are out.

I really got into a good routine jogging every night. I do enjoy it. I also have an elliptical but struggle with the boredom. I got a bad head cold and it threw me off my routine and now I can't get back to it.
It would be great if I had a buddy because you are right that is good motivation, but my closest friend lives a half hour away so that's not working. I tried to get my daughter to go with me but she's not into it. I'm hoping something clicks too. I can't even imagine having to wear short sleeves never mind shorts at my current state. I'm right in the same area weight wise as you guys and to be fairly happy I need to get to 150.
