I am thinking about purchasing this workout dvd but the reviews are so hit or miss! Has anyone ever checked it out and what do you think?

I am currently doing it right now. I like that it is quick. I can tell it is changing the way I look. I think if you dedicate yourself to it and eat right you will get good results. It is a great starting point for me to work into a more intense workout. Broken into three different levels. Lots of people do 10 days of each level. I like circuit training. 30 day shred gets me sweating (level 2 & 3) but isn't so challenging that I am getting sick or giving up. I am hoping to move on to Insanity or P90X over the summer. I have 2 days of level 2 left and then I am moving on to level 3 until I leave for my trip (23 days from today). It is cheap at Walmart (less than $10) give it a try and see what you think.

Thanks so much for the review! That sounds like exactly what I need. I kind of need to get into more of a routine and I definitely need to build some muscle but I get bored easily/sidetracked easily so I'm hoping the different levels and trying to get to the higher levels will motivate me. I ordered it off Amazon used for like 5 bucks so I am excited for it to come in smiley

Yeah, I am really bad about sticking with things. Since it is quick, I just tell myself every day that it is just 20-30 minutes and I have it done. So far so good. She has another called Ripped in 30 I think and I might buy that to use with this dvd after I get my 30 days in. Hope it works for you!

just a heads up, insanity is...ummm, insane. i considered myself in pretty good shape before i started and could not finish the 60 days. (got sick for 2 weeks, had to start over, could never do the 2nd phase) i completed p90x last year, planning on starting my summer job in the best shape ever, got sick right before and lost all my muscle tone and there was not enough cardio in p90 to keep my base after being sick. BUT insanity def. increased my cardio base a lot.(even without completing) running/ swimming my times are the same if not better than they were.

Anyone have questions about any BeachBody program can contact me at Samuel.strohm@gmail.com. I have been doing a variety of their programs since 2009. Currently on my 3rd round of Insanity and I just completed P90X2.

I just bought it and started it yesterday! Banana
I'm sore today I'll tell you that. But it is quick which makes it easier to stick to for me. We'll see if I get some results.

Are you talking about 30 Day Shred?

Sam -> I don't think I've ever heard of BeachBody... I'd like to try p90x and insanity... eventually but i'm no anywhere close to there lol

Sand -> Let me know if you get Ripped in 30 Days and like it!

I just started Tuesday night so tonight was night 3... I also do the total gym afterwards too (really trying to build some muscle) and I can tell you what, I have sore muscles in places you don't think you have muscles. Other than I don't like her yelling at me the whole time (we replaced it with mute & pandora lol), I really like it so far. We are going to do Level 1 for 2 weeks just to get back into things. I like that it's so much in 20 minutes because I'm always so busy.

Yes, I started the 30 Day Shred... it is intense but I like it! I think I may be able to stick to it. I am so sore- my legs especially so it must be working. Clapping smiley

I am really enjoying it! It's been about 2 weeks and I'm going to start Level 2 Monday. I also got a Jillian Michaels Wii game we are going to try too. When I weighed today, I've lost 5 lbs from the beginning of last week and I feel a LOT better! My muscles in my abs and my arms *really* are sore when I go to bed or work out so it MUST be working well. What about you??

I am glad you like it. I was seeing results as well. Was, that is because I had some health issues and had to stop (per my doctor) and after all my tests, etc I am finally allowed to go back to normal routine. So I had a two week hiatus, and I looking forward to getting back to it. I have lost inches and toned up..

I don't see any results yet. But it is making me feel better about myself. Took a few days off this weekend because we put in a patio and I know I got tons of exercise doing that so I don't feel too guilty. Going back to it tonight.

I officially hit day 10 (have skipped about 3-4 days total I believe including weekends/10 hour work shifts), so tomorrow I am going to start level 2.

Unfortunately tonight, I kind of pulled my calf (trying to get every jump), but my calf muscles are always kind of sore (I get a lot of charlie horses & I have plantar fasciitis in both feet) so I'm not going to let it stop me. I'm alternating ice & heat (per suggestion of my mom/nurse) and it's feeling better.

I am absolutely seeing results and I love it. My arm muscles definitely hurt when I do the exercise where she squats down and lifts up with the weights in her hands but I can now pull my entire weight easily on our total gym which is something I couldn't do before so I know I'm building the muscle. Also, I weigh every morning and I've lost 10 pounds from the day I started!

I'm having an injury issue as well. It is from the DVD, don't remember anything going wrong but my left leg I'm having trouble walking on. I don't know what's going on. I took yesterday off trying to let it heal although it doesn't feel much better today. I'm still going to try to get back to it tonight.
Congrats on your weight loss. I don't weigh myself, I'm just waiting for my clothing to fit better.
