As long as it is done with a laparscope you should recover quickly. Its an outpatient procedure here. No driving for about 2 weeks but other than that you should resume normal acitivties and eat what you can tolerate. My husband says it was one of the best things that ever happened to him. He suffered for years with what he thought was lactose intolerance but turned out to be a GB that was not functioning properly. He can now enjoy things like ice cream and sauces (in moderation ofcourse) without any symptoms.
