This is a progress report. I'm trying to turn this ship around. I have been gaining weight for a number of years. But part of my 2014 commitment to myself is to change it up but not starve myself. My goal is to eat until I'm full yet lose it. Since January 2nd I'm down 8 lbs. I plan on updating this thread once or twice a month.
Another week over and down by 12 lbs since I started.
Nice work. Just be careful, lose much more and it will end up costing you! You'll have to buy new clothes. Keep up the good work.

Drinking a glass of water before meals. Snacking between meals helps crush that hunger Monster. Eating slower at meals makes it easy to avoid second helpings. So I'm losing It and not going hungry.
First 30 days and I'm down by 15 lb.
I highly recommend this LOSE-IT free website and cell phone app. This program and others like it let me log my calories intake and monitor my progress. I set a 1 1/2 lb loss program and a goal of 90 lbs lost. After 5 weeks I'm down 18 lbs.
I have been using Fit Bit One since December 29th and have lost a little over 10lbs. You log your food online or you smart phone and it tracks your steps, floors, and calories burned. Works well for me.Great success Gerald.
Best of luck on your journey. I am struggling to lose weight although I am working out at bootcamp 3-4 times a week for an hour at a time. I keep denying to myself that it has to do with my diet. I wish I could just work out and call it a day!
...hey jb...just a note of encouragment...it has been two years now on my road...there will be ups and downs...i was able to lose quite a bit...but know that losing is easy...keeping it off is something else...look at the long term my friend...it is not a life style...it is an adventure.............
I went through a stubborn two weeks of flat line but 60 days and I'm down by 21 lbs. I hope to add some exercise to the effort when it warms up. Looks like another 4-8 inches of some coming tomorrow.
Stubborn month and still snowing. Down 24 lbs. Not bad for a No exercise program.

Summer time stress has got me in a rut. To much going on to focus on my weight. I'm still down by 22 to 25. Hopefully things will change soon.
