Listen up Dickie. I have as much right to post my thoughts as you or anyone else does. I needn't think too long about where your thoughts come from.
Like I said in my original post...the division between people in this country has reached an all time high (or rather low) and I am of the opinion that it would be better to split the country in half and let those who feel likewise live on one side and those who believe otherwise, on the other. If you think I was going for some kind of self recognition, then you are exactly the type of person which prompted me to write the post in the first place!
No vote? I vote and will continue to vote and hopefully a whole lotta people will get out to vote in November. This country has a LOT of problems and continuing to give tax breaks to oil companies, while cutting social safety nets is not something I will vote for. So unless you have something useful to add to this thread, go fly a kite!
First quarter financial results were reported this week by ExxonMobil and Apple, and a summary of some key statistics are displayed above. Here's what will probably not be reported by the mainstream media:
1. ExxonMobil paid $7.7 billion in taxes in the first quarter of 2012, which was about double the amount of taxes paid by Apple - $3.9 billion.
2. Apple earned $11.6 billion in profits during the first quarter, which was 22% more that ExxonMobil's $9.5 billion in profits.
3. Apple earned $29.60 in profits for every $100 of sales in the first quarter, compared to ExxonMobil's earnings of only $7.60 per $100 in sales revenue, making Apple's profit margin almost four times greater than ExxonMobil's (29.6% vs. 7.6%). - See more at: Click to follow link...
