As I sit here checking the posts, reviewing my email, my fingers are cold even though the heat is jacked up right now. I am trying to think warm, happy thoughts like being on the beach..

Here's another pic. I tried to resize. Daughter is pouting, son thinks he is a dolphin, youngest son is picking something (gum) off of the wall. Who can guess where this was taken.

Sorry if it didn't resize.

I know there are some murals painted on a wall by the Tomato Patch in Monterey Plaza. Did I guess correct?

Nope, not Ben Franklin's. The outside of Awful Arthur's gift shop! I know that it is corny and a very touron thing to do, but every time we visit, I take the kids' picture in the same exact spot!

Not an answer to the question but just what exactly is a touron? I know it's a reference to tourists and is a shortened version of a combination of words but what words?

Don't know why SteveB wouldn't tell you Gene. We use that term on the Jersey Shore as well, along with Bennies and other less flattering terms for the 5% of the tourists who are absolute obnoxious idiots.

Anyway it is "tourist + moron" = "touron".

It's because I'm shy Robert. I just can't blurt things out as easily as you.
But, I'll start trying!!! Keep your fingers crossed for me and maybe I can become a bold poster with thoughts of my own one day.

My dear friend Robert has answered below. :-) I figure if I am self-deprecating up front, the locals won't roll their eyes at me! :-) Although for the record, I do not consider myself a touron!

Same here. Not a nice term. Most of us don't fit into that category.
