And Dennis, what is the most common turtle to nest between VA and Oregon Inlet! Ah, the loggerhead which by your own information is not endangered.

As for positive, I said that the endeavors of the group are a good thing.

BTW, you are very photogenic.

Now continue on with your personal back biting.

Gee Whiz Jim and Ginny, somethings never change do they?

In your first post you tell us that the only Endangered sea turtles is the Leatherback and NOAA proves you incorrect.

Read the following information posted by the The Fish and Wildlife OK?

"What Is the Difference Between Endangered and Threatened?
The Federal Endangered Species Act of 1973 (Act) describes two categories of declining species of plants and animals
that need the Act’s protections – endangered species and threatened species – and provides these definitions:
ENDANGERED - any species that is in danger of extinction throughout all or a significant portion of its range;
THREATENED - any species that is likely to become an endangered species within the foreseeable future
throughout all or a significant portion of its range.
All of the protections of the Act are provided to endangered species. Many, but not all, of those protections also are
available to threatened species. However, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (Service) has the authority to determine
which protections should apply to each threatened species; in other words, we can select and fine tune the protections that
best meet the species’ recovery needs.
Threatened status benefits species and people in two situations: (1) it provides Federal protection before a species reaches
the brink of extinction; and (2) in the case of species that were initially listed as endangered, threatened status also allows
scaling back Federal protection as they recover and no longer need the maximum protections of the Act.

It seems to me that the high education level you claim to possess you should be able to comprehend something so stated, but then we all know that you just wanted to stir manure.

BTW if memory serves one of your rally cries was that anyone who did not live in HI full time did not know what they were talking about. Now that ya spend all that time in the great state of Georgia I suppose that your opinion on that has changed . Big grin

One of your past posts about how you were being targeted by the NPS when you tried to pull a sneeky and keep more than the legal limit for drum still brings chuckles to lots of fishing folks.

Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww how we all missed your posts .... keep em up OK?

STATUS: The loggerhead sea turtle was initially listed as threatened throughout its range (Federal Register, July 28, 1978). On September 22, 2011, the listing was revised from a single global threatened species to a listing of nine
Distinct Population Segments (DPS); four listed as threatened (Northwest Atlantic Ocean, South Atlantic Ocean, Southwest Indian Ocean, Southeast Indo-Pacific Ocean, and South Atlantic Ocean DPSs) and five listed as endangered (Northeast Atlantic Ocean, Mediterranean Sea, North Pacific Ocean, South Pacific Ocean, and North Indian Ocean DPSs).

Endangered Species Act | Overview
When Congress passed the Endangered Species Act (ESA) in 1973, it recognized that our rich natural heritage is of “esthetic, ecological, educational, recreational, and scientific value to our Nation and its people.” It further expressed concern that many of our nation’s native plants and animals were in danger of becoming extinct.

The purpose of the ESA is to protect and recover imperiled species and the ecosystems upon which they depend. It is administered by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and the Commerce Department’s National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS). The FWS has primary responsibility for terrestrial and freshwater organisms, while the responsibilities of NMFS are mainly marine wildlife such as whales and anadromons fish such as salmon.

Under the ESA, species may be listed as either endangered or threatened. “Endangered” means a species is in danger of extinction throughout all or a significant portion of its range. “Threatened” means a species is likely to become endangered within the foreseeable future. All species of plants and animals, except pest insects, are eligible for listing as endangered or threatened. For the purposes of the ESA, Congress defined species to include subspecies, varieties, and, for vertebrates, distinct population segments.

Dennis, now I see what you were trying to say. I realize the leather back is not the only endangered sea turtle. You are right.

But the point was clear, the for the most part, the loggerhead is the turtle that nests in the area served by nests. The loggerhead is not endangered. While the name of the organization implies that the area NESTS serves is primarily home to endangered species.

I did not criticize the organization's efforts. In fact, I complimented them.

Now you respond by accusing me of spreading false information and now with a bunch of irrelevant and inaccurate personal information. I still live on Hatteras Island and I never tried to keep an illegal drum.

And you wonder why I stay away. Got news, its not because of GA but rather because I have had it with the personal insults and the spreading of personal information.

So here it is, turn around is fair play. Welcome Dennis Pohl of VA. Hope you enjoy having your name and picture posted.

Now, I am leaving this board and the others again.

Mission accomplished ... ya posted to stir manure and when your false statements were refuted ya pull the poor little me routine.

You are the one who originally posted about moving to GA and the NPS story, sooooooo if you don't want your words repeated don't say them on the first place.

Come on back any time to the cesspool to spread manure. Some of your old cronies on here lack the ability to do anything else sooooo you won't feel left out. Big grin

Sea Oat, I hate to give you the satisfaction of being right but I do have one thing I have to add.

Dennis,

I did have a ongoing post on the fishing board about life on Hatteras Island. It was meant to be fun. You turned around and twisted things and used the information to imply that my home was unattended and that I was trying to violate fishing regs.

You did not leave it at that. You followed my posts on other forums and my comments on news articles on the Island Free Press and other news forums. Again you posted personal information that had nothing to do with the discussion at hand.

So let this serve as a warning. If you continue to follow me around in the hopes of silencing me (which I have let you do on the fishing forums), your name and picture will not be the only personal information I post and the posts will not be limited to this forum.

That is, in case you are too dense to understand what turn about is fair play means, it means I will not be bullied off of non related forums. You can have this one but leave me the hell alone.

Squid you will still be right because I will NOT respond to anything Dennis says in response to this. He will have the last word if he chooses to respond.

Really, Really laughing out loud! Sea Oat called it spot on as we knew that you will always have one more thing to add.

Another falsehood you posted. I do not post on any fishing forums and for many moons I have not read or posted on the IFP because of the bias it was and probably continues to be.

Don't try and flatter yourself and pleaseeeeeeeeeeee stop the whining. It appears that you are the one following me around. Who was it that has posted information about me ... welllllllllllllll gin that would be you wouldn't it!! In case you forgot review your original post will ya.

Ya keep using the term "turn about is fair play" soooooooooooooooooo let me serve you with a fair warning ... ohhhhhhhhhhhh, ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh keep posting falsehoods and untruths and be prepared to receive a response. When ya want to post what you think is personal information you are telling not only me (should I be in the mood to read your tripe) but the whole world ... it is the internet silly.

"Squid you will still be right because I will NOT respond to anything Dennis says in response to this." Another falsehood Jim and Ginny because ya said that once already and sure enuf it weren't true.
