The first person to buy a slave in America was a black man.

Most cultures have had slaves at one time or another.

You can go to almost any islamic country today and buy a slave.

I guess you could say the South was the better of the two in Colonial times.

Afterall when it came time to count up residents for Representation purposes the North did not want to count Slaves at all. Meanwhile the South stood tall for their slaves and wanted to count them.

We came up it the 3/5ths compromise. Setting the stage for later events.

...actually judy this thread was started for it's stated purpose...that in the united colonies this policy was allowed to exist (north and south)...for better or for worse...and that we all hold some degree of guilt...not just some miss guided person who drapes himself in a flag and flashes a weapon...and kills people...murder knows no color....
