Candida Diet

So anyone on this diet?

As some of you may know I have suffered from Hearing loss for about 3 years now.

I am completely deaf in my left ear and wear a hearing aid in my right ear.

I could just accept that as life, but I noticed that from day to day my hearing would fluctuate. In other words I would have good days and bad days.

About a year ago, I went on a quest to change things up. It started with getting off any medicines. I was only on one, for Blood Pressure, but none the less I wanted to get off everything.

Eventually I discovered I had some food allergies. A number of my allergies were with foods that were a steady part of my diet.

Eventually I was diagnosed by my Chiropractor/Nutritionist with Candida. I have been on a Candida Diet for about a month now. I can hear sounds again in my left ear. In fact if I put the phone up to my ear I can hear what is being said. Prior to this, nothing would come into my ear. My ear that I wear a hearing aid on is also getting better, but not changing as rapidly as my deaf ear, but that is not a problem.

The biggest news is I have lost 15 pounds. Tomorrow I expect to see 199 for the first time in about 10 years. When I got married I weighed 180. I am 6 feet tall, and at my heaviest I weighed 220.

Has anyone been on this diet? How have you done? What are any of your secrets?

I did not know you lost your hearing. Great that it is returning with weight loss. Did not know that was a possible benefit of weight loss. Amazing! Banana

Dr seems to think I had a yeast infection in my inner ear which caused some issues. Not sure if it will come back fully, but it has improved in the last month.

I was stationed in Beaufort SC in the 2nd Marine Air Wing, was lucky to never have been stationed at Lejeune. The water contamination is really bad news.

And the hits just keep coming.

Weight is now down to 193.

Blood Pressure is wayyyyyyy down. Just finished cutting the grass and checked, it was 119 over 86.

My old normal was around 150 over 115.

Everytime I want a piece of Cheesecake or Pie, I think of these things.

Down side, I need to buy some new clothes. My old waist size was 36 and that was tight, and I never needed to wear a belt.

Now I need a belt, and the pants are droopy.

Saw a friend the other day for the first time in 5 months and she could not believe how thin I looked.

Man - first off I'm really glad for you. Second - when I read the list of symptoms I pegged the meter. Problem is, I'm already diagnosed with hemochromatosis which is a genetic disorder that you can't fix, only treat. Amazing how similar the list of symptoms is, though. Third, a look at the list of foods allowed and foods to avoid that Candida Diet looks pretty brutal. Definitely brutal if you adhere to it completely. I can understand why anyone who could stick to it would lose weight.

Concentrate on joining these sustenances while on the candida diet: Low-sugar natural products: Lemon, limes, berries (might be eaten in little sums). Non-dull vegetables: Asparagus, Brussels grows, cabbage, broccoli, kale, celery, cucumber, eggplant, onion, spinach, zucchini, tomatoes and rutabaga (best whenever eaten crude or steamed).
