LOL. While I did go to some wild parts of the city back then this was one place I did not go. Now it's like Disneyworld. For the most part it's cleaned up but there are still some unsavory characters around. I take my grandkids to the Times Square area quite a bit now for shows. Different world. I actually took one of my granddaughters to Macy's on 34th st. today for some shopping. The city has changed.

Used to go in from Fairfield county, CT from 1970 to mid-1980s. NYC was pretty trashy. Penn Station under MSG had homeless lining the area from the stairs to the station and reeked of urine. 42 Street was wall-to-wall porn.

Worked for CL in the 1990s and corporate is at 300 Park. Huge difference in NYC from the 70s to 90s, though Port Authority was still a (much improved!) dump.
