A Sheepshead and Tautog ulternative bait ?

Always had a hard time getting bait for those two. Has anyone tryed the Wrapfishingsystem in the OBX? Thumbs up Thumbs down

Have never heard of this... will have to look into it... and, have never caught fished for Tog.. but I do know sand fleas are great for Sheepshead... assuming (hoping) the beach nourishment hasn't smothered them all.

I used to fish for tog around the Chesapeake Bay bridge tunnel around the rock piles. I remember cutting up blue crab for bait. We'd pull off the legs, quarter it and just drop it down into the rocks. Tautog are really tasty.

Sheepshead and tog will go for crab (blue, hermit), sand fleas are great, we also use clam... it works well but is the hardest to keep on the hook.

crab for both, I will say that fishbites clam works just as well as natural clam and hold the hook excellent.
I have seen vids of that bait system but never seen it used around here.
