Anyone have some fresh bait on the Northern Beaches? Could only find some old soft mullet at TW's. It was very squishy and only fed the dogfish yesterday.... Any spot or croaker still around the piers? They'll work in a pinch if I can find them.

Can't help with up north for bait but with the water temps diving the fish are feeding hard then heading to deeper/warmer waters. Also a dog fish makes a pretty good fried fish.

I've checked with 3 tackle shops from Duck north and there isn't any that I could find. Bob's in Duck claimed there isn't ny on the island.

The guys that net them say it's not worth going out for, They can not sell enough to pay for the trip. I would look into the sound side to see if there is bait , and learn how to cast a throw net.
