ESPN+

ESPN+

I pay for lots of sports on Dish, but most of my games now are only shown on something I don't get and don't understand. Yes I am old. Really old. But progress seems to be going backwards to me. I know WVU will probably lose to Baylor Sat but I wish I could see the source of my suffering. My problems are so serious.lol please excuse my complaining,

RE: ESPN+

What is ESPN+ ? Darned if I know, but it is sure not TV. It's some kind of internet deal with a monthly fee. Our Senator Capito even spoke about it this week and how it is unfair for sports fans. ESPN doesn't care.

RE: ESPN+

Surprised that your game with Baylor isn't on ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, FoxSports, CBSSports or CBS as it's a big game. Anyway, below is how you can get it on your TV....ask your grandkids to set it up for you.

RE: ESPN+

Thank you, Robert. Very good and helpful info.

RE: ESPN+

I disagree about it being not fair.

I pay for all the TV I want, and none of what I do not.

ESPN+ is around $5 a month but I do not find that I need that, so I do not subscribe.

I have Locast for Local TV $5
Sling for Sports and Networks $40 a Month
Prime for Free (Amazon Customer)
HBO Go for Free (AT&T Customer)
MLB Ticket (Every Dodgers Game for $99 a season)

I used to pay over $200 a month for DirecTV now I only pay around $50 a month, and have more TV than I can ever watch, Sports included.

RE: ESPN+

Disagree all you want. WV citizens support WVU in many ways and have a right to expect reasonable viewing access to .major events. Many areas of WV do not have good internet service . So it is back to the radio for them Very unfair.

RE: ESPN+

There's also a lot of games on ESPN3 which is now accessed through espn.com/watch. ESPN3 is good for games that won't be on major networks, if you like watching all basketball.

The Comcast remote also lists those games when I search for what b-ball games are on (press C on remote), so I don't even need to hook-up my laptop to the TV anymore.

I went to Fairfield, and a lot of the MAAC games are on ESPN3.

Used to live in western NJ near PA, so I also like Lafayette (Easton, PA) and Lehigh (Bethlehem, PA). I'm near Holy Cross (Worcester, MA) and Boston University now. And our nephew goes to American. A lot of the Patriot League games are also be on ESPN3.

Also spent a year at Yale, and wasn't far form Princeton in NJ. So I also follow the Ivy league.

As mentioned, ESPN3 is great for the non-power conference games, if you like basketball.

Snowshoe

Now you sound like my wife!

RE: ESPN+

That is funny, Bill. We used to have perfect WVU media coverage. Then Oliver Luck blessed us with a brief return as AD. When he left, local TV was gone and we were in the Big 12. Since most games are now in a different time zone, it makes it really hard for fans who have to get up early.

Yes, his son is Andrew Luck of near Heisman fame.

RE: ESPN+

WVU. beat #4. Baylor yesterday Many of us listened on the radio just like the good old days.
