I'll politely say that certain topics attract a fair amount of noise from non-owners when discussed in a broad forum. Certain topics, such as PM company practices, guest issues, rate setting, rental agreements, etc., are not really suitable for public discussion. The discussions tend to be more business related than outer banks related; the one thing we all have in common is a general geographic location. Thank you, Brad Z. That makes perfect sense to me. Some of the earlier comments (perhaps, tongue in cheek?) were not particularly helpful.
It would be like outer banks restaurant owners discussing business on a public forum; I wouldn't expect them to be discussing seafood sourcing, labor issues, and dealing with Dare Co health department on a general Outer Banks forum. I also wouldn't expect fishing charter captains to be discussing business with other captains on fishing forums either.
