Wine and Liquor Cabinet gift for my Daughter

My daughter is getting married later this month and I wanted to make something for her. She mentioned that she wanted a wine cabinet and her fiancée is into whiskeys. So I made a cabinet that works for both.

Very nice work.

Several questions if you don’t mind? Dimensions? Wood type or types? Finish? Weight? I am guessing 60” tall?

You have a problem. You need to build them several more items so that they can leave them to your future great grandchildren.

Mike;
The wood is Cherry. The finish is 2 coats of danish oil, 3 coats of sprayed semigloss polyurethane and 2 coats hand rubbed furniture wax. The weight is heavy, 2 people could just about pick it up. If I were to do it again I would make the wine storage area so it weights less, that is where most of the weight is. But on the other hand, a small child is not going to tip it over. Good eye, it is 57.25" tall more or less as it has adjustable felt feet under each leg.

This is not the first piece I have made for her. I did this a number of years ago:

Great piece! Is the center drop down tray a single slab? Love the grain on that and it seems pretty wide. Anne has me redoing our bathrooms - is much rather be woodworking! Beautiful work as always.

The center is a tip down area to pour what ever is it you are enjoying.

It’s very cool - is that drop down one piece of wood or did you joint it?

Amazing. You did it yourself? You just have golden hands. And I can't even write an essay on political science on my own and I have to use the Click to follow link... free essay writing service and that's sad. I am sure that a person should be able to do something with his own hands. In your case, this is the furniture and even very beautiful furniture. And I'm sorry that I can't even write an essay properly.
