Bringing a pontoon

Bringing a pontoon

Coming to Duck in July and we are figuring out if we should bring our pontoon. Is there anywhere that I could dock for a week around Duck?

Well, Duck is not a very boat friendly or water sport ready town. I'm not even sure if there is a spot to put in much less a place to dock. Hopefully she's on a trailer?

Overall nice place for a Pontoon Boat. However, to my knowledge Duck does not have any "Marinas" and I don't believe any Public Launching Ramps. There are several Water Sports Places renting Kayaks, SUP's, Jet Skis, even Pontoon Boats. You may want to contact them (North Banks and North Beach Water Sports). I hope you understand that as you go North in Currituck Sound it gets extremely Shallow. As a Local Fisherman, I really don't wander up that way. There is a Launching Ramp on Bob Perry Road in Kitty Hawk, very shallow and an East Wind blows out all the water. Other Launching Ramps are in the Currituck Soundside Park just across the Wright Memorial Bridge. Another on Bay Drive in KDH. For the more Adventuresome you have the big Ramps under the Pirates Cove Bridge in Nags Head. Have Fun.
