Tried their pizza yesterday, 4/18/23, will not be going back. Angelo’s is better, Gidget’s is better. $17.99 for a very mediocre 12” Margherita pizza. Someone told me that the same person who ran Rocco’s kitchen is running this kitchen, bad choice. The interior is nicely done, they got rid of the musty smell Rocco’s had. The parking lot is still tight and will be fun if a bunch of land yachts are trying to park.

I’m an Italian from the Bronx and their crust is outstanding. The Margherita isn’t traditional but heads above Gidgets.

Squid Pro Quo Actually I hope they bring back their breakfasts period. They made amazing doughnuts as well The omeletes that were priced right and came out quick. The added plus was you could get a mixed fruit instead of potato's which I liked.

White bread BEC in wax paper. They'd make a killing.

If you are fishing or going out on the beach for a day it was nice to have it all there and not have to make a trip back if you wanted something you didn't make at home. I spoke to a long time restaurant owner on Hatteras in the early 2000's about that and he was pretty blunt and said he couldn't find employees that wanted to get up early to make them or sell them.

I miss the Village Grocery in Avon. When we first had a condo in Avon in 2005, it was our go to place for homemade wraps for lunch to take out on the ramp for fishing or just a day on the beach. They were delicious and nicely priced IMO. They also had some nice groceries as well and didn't have to always get into the heavy crowds at Food Lion.

Anyone know what is up with Isola? A Google search says “temporary closed”. Yep, when I drove by at 5:30 on a Thursday it was dark.
