RE: Who knew???

Boy is that scary!!!! Oh my goodness!!!!

I went through several Ford Expeditions when the kids were growing up. I loved them! Lots of seating for my kids and their friends
I always felt we were safe in them ( my main concern) and I could see real good - which wasn’t easy for me as I am only 5ft tall. My hubby bought me a used Mercedes in between Expeditions. I HATED it!! Was way too low for me. I complained so much he gave the Benz to our son and got me another Expedition.

The proof is in the pudding I guess..

RE: Who knew???

Strange that no GM products were tested,

RE: Who knew???

It kinda looks like the Mercedes came in 2nd! (I'm hoping) I drive an SUV Mercedes ML 320 and I love it. I sit up high and can see everything. Sorry, Lolly...I love mine and can get the baby seats for the grands in the back easily. My daughter loves to drive it when she's in town. But, the SUV has a ton of room and I am with you with the lower to the road type cars. I'll never drive another one of them.

RE: Who knew???

I’m sure I’d love that model, Bent!!!
It was riding low that I hated.
Plus I could adjust the pedals so that I didn’t have to sit up close to the steering wheel and the air bag.

RE: Who knew???

Totally unrealistic real world renactment of a car crash . Look at the size of the wall behind the vehicles , when would you ever be in a position like that , never ! If you look at car crash demos they never would be done in this fashion . I worked at a Ford dealership and the Explorer was one of the most frequently bought in vehicle for defects and repairs so bad that the sales people referred to them as the Exploder !!

That has nothing to do with the frame strength.

RE: Who knew???

Beach , Explorer has been a unibody design since 2011 ! It is classified as a crossover , no frame !

Look I've never heard a good thing about the exploder in my life but that test speaks volumes about it's ability to withstand an impact. To say otherwise is just ridiculous.

Yeah, I'm told it is AI, not real.

I think your eyes told you that. It's an obvious fake.

Wow, I can't believe I got fooled. The gas station right next door is a dead giveaway. Izzy gets a gold star on this one. Bastard...(;
I guess you really gotta be careful these days....or at least read the comment under the video.

Wow...it really is obvious now isn't it? I gotta go find my retard hat and wear it for at least a half hour. Serious smiley ...probably in the front yard.

I watched it on a large PC monitor so it was easier to see. Mostly the graphics look like modern computer games and things you'd expect to see weren't present... marring on the wall, accumulated damage to the truck, stuff on the road because glass or fluid dumps down beneath the truck, and a car not crumpling like the sub in the Abyss on a 30 mph impact!

Some military style "videos" that look pretty lifelike have made the rounds in recent years. Mostly they are of incoming planes or rockets and what appears to be a land-based Phalanx system or similar shooting them down. The lighting is dark because it's at night and the timing of the uptick coincided with the start of the invasion of Ukraine so many of the videos were labelled as a Ukrainian self-defense system. They were all from a modern video game though.

AI generation is only going to get better (or worse depending on your take). There's an Instagram account for an AI generated female model. It's not 100% there yet, but it's on the creepy side of realistic. I use AI a little bit at work and we're working on incorporating it into our products. Some of the textual content it can generate is pretty good, and accurate, at least for software engineering.
