Wancheese seafood to stop operations in March

Hate to see it but when it sold
In 2015 a bunch of people quietly said they would close the fish operation. Sad to see it go as it employed a lot of people.

I wonder where the island retailers will get that portion of the fish they sold from? I know some of their product is caught locally but many of the seafood stores made the 3 times a week trek to the open-air seafood market up there.

I see some of the fishmongers from VA beach are making runs down to pick up seafood and are delivering at the same time. we used to make a point to go by and bring cash tot he docks you could make some great deals on seafood right on the rails of the boats.

Supporting local fishmongers is a great way to get fresh seafood and good deals. It’s a reminder that 'yesterday is dead,' and traditions like this help keep today’s community vibrant.

It’s always sad to hear about businesses like Wancheese Seafood shutting down, especially when they’ve been a part of the community for so long. It’s a reminder of how important it is to support local businesses whenever we can. On a different note, for those who rely on tech to manage their daily routines, like tracking work hours or fitness, don’t forget to check battery health Samsung Galaxy Watch regularly. It ensures your device is running smoothly—kind of like regular maintenance for businesses to keep them thriving. Hopefully, Wancheese finds a way to pivot or return in the future!

RE: Wancheese seafood to stop operations in March

It’s always sad to see a business like Wancheese Seafood stop operations, especially if they’ve been a staple in their community. This kind of situation often highlights how challenging the seafood and restaurant industries can be, with fluctuating demand and rising costs. I was recently reading about similar challenges faced by businesses in Section 8 Karim, where adapting to tough conditions required innovation and resilience. Hopefully, the folks at Wancheese can find a way to pivot or move forward successfully.

Sad to hear that Wancheese Seafood is stopping operations. Quality seafood is as important to some as finding the perfect outfit at Clothes Paradise is to others—both bring joy in their own way! Hopefully, employees and suppliers find new opportunities. Anyone know what led to the closure?
