Shout Out to Hotline Thrift Shop-Frisco

I found this precious shell seahorse at the new Hotline Thrift Shop in Frisco. I love the new location and the parking is so much better than the one in Buxton.

I placed this little find in one of my bathrooms on a shelf in the beach cottage. I'm thinking it is handmade (hope). I didn't see a Target or HomeGoods sticker on it and the frame looks like something that was done at home. It just didn't have any large store hallmarks. I love it!

I went back to the Frisco Hotline Thrift store yesterday after food shopping and found a gorgeous Barbara Culp enamel on a metal plate..the VA Oysters caught my eye and it's signed. Also, I found a beautiful 100 percent lambs wool blanket made in Ireland that I can throw on one of our sofas this winter.

If any of you guys are down this way, you should really visit this place. All of the proceeds go to domestic violence and I always give them a bit more money to go towards it. Just a great cause and cool finds! Really sweet ladies at check out too!

Culp enamel sitting on an Etsy package to mail to LA the end of the month. Boxed it up and ready!

And the wool throw/blanket

And maker's mark for the blanket....

Comps on these items are very high compared to what I spent. I also picked up two wool pillow covers and a J Crew white long sleeved t shirt for this winter to wear under my sweatshirts. I love J Crew clothing and it was only $2.00 compared to the $50.00 and up I pay online for their stuff. Just fits perfectly and well made. My go to clothing. The place was packed yesterday and it was good to see. I think this location will do much better as compared to the little place beside the Lighthouse Sports Bar.

This past summer, I went to the Avon Feral Cats yard sale and bought a gorgeous Jonathan Adler, vintage 1980s leather bomber jacket that I threw in my Etsy shop. I asked my sweet baby boy to model it and he did since he is so sweet.

I am so glad they opened! We often hit the ones north of the Bonner Bridge on our travels. I have been to the one in Frisco twice recently to buy books. I paid $1 to re-read Tolstoy's Anna Karenina. I enjoyed it more this time than I did almost 50 years ago.

They do have some great books. In early August, I bought some Baldacci books that I have been tearing through. Very nice shop. I'm glad you found some winners to to re do!

I have several lambs wool sweaters and socks. The warmest clothes I have ever owned. Your Celtic finds are priceless, Bent.

I was very happy with the Irish blanket!! A great find! May keep it, but may sell it since I paid $5.00 for it and can get over a hundred for it based on comps over $300.00. Not that I would charge that much. I always lower the price and shipping that I see online.

Did some shopping at the Hotline Thrift shop this morning in Frisco and found some cool treasures. I loved these small bar glasses from Golden Eagle Motor Inns that are in great shape.

Also, this signed original water color of a sea captain and his cat painted by Claire Lackey. Her card is on the back and I think she hailed from Corolla and New Jersey. She is found online with several paintings. I'll have to find a place in my cottage for this guy and name him.

Sea captain

RE: Shout Out to Hotline Thrift Shop-Frisco

I think I'll name him Daniel after Sea Captain Daniel Gregg from the Ghost and Mrs. Muir 1947 movie which I loved. I have put him in the master bedroom for now in the beach cottage. The scale isn't exactly right, but for now he's okay there. I love original pieces of art....thrift shop or whatever....the beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Wow Bent, look at all those Clive Cussler books! He was my favorite author growing up and I have all of his books, most in hardback. Cap'n Daniel is in good company there!

When we bought this home, many, many books were included in the sale. I love having them and Cussler books are fitting for an island! So cool that you have read them all! This pic is just a small look at the books that came with the house. We've added to and have given out books to friends that stay. Yep!!! Daniel the sea captain fits there nicely! Haha!
